Greetings from Copenhagen!

We just landed in wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen. We arrived this morning in the middle of town at the Central Station. We had a busy day of sightseeing and shopping. Our first stop was Nyhavn and Skuespillerhuset on Kvæsthusbroen.

Had a coffee at the Royal Café and Café Norden a cross the street...

On our way accross the town, we passed by Christiania - a small, self-governing commune with it own laws and heirarchy.

We then headed towards Amalienborg Palace, the residence of the Danish Royal Family. We didn´t get to see Prince Frederic and Princes Mary, but their awaiting home now being renovated.

A momument by Per Kirkeby...

Unfortunately, Copenhagen's famous little Mermaid statue was on a trip to Shanghai for the World Expo 2010.

Second Hand and antique shops in Copenhagen are plenty...

Exhausted from walking, we ended up in the lobby at Sas hotel designed by Arne Jacobsen.

We had a lovely day, a little bit of sun and a little bit of rain. And more to come...
