Today we encourage free floor play and lots of Small Friends to play with.
"Småkompisar" is a Swedish word literally meaning 'little friend'. It's a soft, feel-good handful of fun inspired by the traditional Japanese toy 'Otedama'. Colourful balls, stress balls, stress reliever, comfort object... It is simply soft friends that encourages imagination and creativity, as well as sustainable values, friendship, love and kindness.
Today you can find Småkompisar in a variety of places, such as schools, offices and hotels. They are often used for pedagogical as well as therapeutic purposes, due to their simple yet playful design. With a little friend in hand just let your imagination run wild!
Småkompisar are handmade using a soft organic cotton fabric in colours that change with the seasons and trends. They are filled with linseed or plastic granules and can be washed. Production is based in Sweden and Latvia under strict quality control and testing procedures.
For corporate purchases or gifts your company's logo can be embroidered onto the fabric or appear on a little tag sewn on the side of the product. You can also order separate boxes decorated with your company's logo.
"The Naughty Spot" is a fun time corner playmat (rug) for all ages design by Åsa Ohlsson. Take advantage of all the benefits of using the corner for a play area. Encourage free floor play and a wider angle view into the room. Make it a safe and cosy corner and use the walls to lean on or attach some useful toy storage units to the walls.
"Hello!" can be put on walls, floors or ceilings and gives multiple possibilities for use - as a kind of reversed megaphone it absorbs sounds and things, and gives the illusion of having a depth that continues through the wall. Design by Design Dessert - Malin Palm and Åsa Ohlsson.
